ABOUT MUYA BLDG
昭和37年（1962年）築、
鉄筋コンクリート造陸屋根4階建、旧白浜信用農協の建物を、
当時の面影を残しながら修繕し、
衣食住にまつわる小さな複合施設として、2020年2月に開店いたしました。
1F 喫茶
この土地に根をおき活動する人やモノ、和歌山に縁のある方を
中心に簡易な飲み物や食べ物を提供しています。
2F 衣類販売
「何にも属さない水のようなもの」をコンセプトに、
衣類を中心に販売しています。
3F 宿泊施設
旅の入り口や出発地点となるような最低限の設備を整えた、
1日1組の簡素な宿を運営しています。
4F ギャラリー
不定期に展示などを中心に開催しています。
食べる、着る、泊まる、が本来の目的ではなく、
”のようなもの”を感じられる
何かの始まりや気づきになるような場所を目指しています。
MUYA – Shirahama, Wakayama, Japan
Built in 1962 (Showa 37) in Shirahama, Wakayama, Japan, as the former Shirahama Agricultural Credit Cooperative, this four-story reinforced concrete building with a flat roof has been carefully restored, preserving its original character. In February 2020, it reopened as MUYA, a small, multi-purpose space rooted in clothing, food, and living — a quiet place to relax just minutes from Shirahama Beach.
1F – Café
Serving simple drinks and light meals made with local ingredients, focusing on people and products connected to Shirahama and the wider Wakayama area.
2F – Clothing Store
Offering timeless, Japanese-made clothing based on the concept of “like water — belonging to nothing,” moving freely beyond trends or categories.
3F – Lodging
A minimal, single-room stay for one group per day, with only the essentials — a peaceful place to begin or end your journey.
4F – Gallery
Hosting occasional exhibitions and related events.
MUYA is not simply about eating, wearing, or staying. It is a hidden spot where visitors can feel “something like” — a quiet starting point or a small moment of awareness that lingers after the visit.
