STOCK NO: (Stock number) Base Tote by This is(a)n is a MUYA special order model.
The handles, shoulder straps, and inner pocket are a special order MUYA version of the STOCK NO: model, which uses XPAC™️ fabric for parts.
The natural body features grey stitching.
Brass rivets are used for the pocket hardware.
Two sizes are available: M and L.

Specifications
The Base Tote features a design that combines the US Coal Bag and Helmet Bag.
It has a total of three pockets, two large on the front and one inside, giving it the storage capacity of a Helmet Bag, while also featuring the short handles unique to a Coal Bag, which was designed to carry heavy items.

Material
100% cotton

The fabric used is made from twisted fine threads, which increases the density of the weave, making it thinner than standard duck of the same weight, but it is made from genuine army duck that faithfully reproduces the US Army duck standards of the time, making it more robust and dense.
To make the bag waterproof, it is paraffin-treated using a traditional technique that only one company in Japan can do. Although it is prone to chalk marks (scratches) that are unique to wax, the more you use it, the softer it becomes, and the chalk marks add character to the bag, making it a fabric that you will grow to love.
The dyeing process faithfully reproduces a recipe from around 1900 taken from the archives of BASF of Germany, giving the fabric a vintage feel.
